Car Accident Update

There was much progress made today on the car and insurance front.  I took some time at lunch and went to the Dekalb County Public Records office to pick up a copy of the accident report.  The insurance company asked if I could fax it to them as it usually takes a while for the police to get them a copy.  I called her this afternoon and faxed it over to her.  She said the investigation was still going on at this point, so do not take my car in for repair as they weren't sending any money yet.  She expected to get back with me next week.  About two hours later, she called again, saying she got the fax and that they were going to honor the claim and would have a check for the full amount of the quote sent out to me on Monday.  I was so excited and slightly in shock after how it had been going the rest of the week.  They will also be getting me a rental car, which was not something that was clear they would do, for the time mine is in the shop.  She thanked me for going to pick up the report for her too.  Usually it takes anywhere from two to six weeks for them to get a copy, but they had received a call from Dekalb County that they were running about six weeks behind on them.  Turns out I would have had to wait eight to twelve weeks to get my car fixed, now I can do it whenever the parts arrive.  What a huge answer to prayer!

I've included a few pictures, see, it really doesn't look that bad!  Remarkable for where my car hit his and how fast we were both going.  I'm so thankful it wasn't more damage.
