Jake's and I go way back, to the summer before I moved to Atlanta actually. Chuck and I discovered it and I found my favorite ice cream ever, Key Lime Piescream. It was delicious!
Over the last 6 years of living here, the company has made terrible management and location decisions, having opened and subsequently closed roughly 8 to 10 stores, so many that I've lost count. They kept closing my favorite locations and eventually I grew weary of trying to figure out where one was and what hours it was open. I really haven't been in probably the last two years. Jamie brought me some home once, but otherwise, something that was so prevalent in my first 4 years in Atlanta was relegated to a memory. Tonight Jamie surprised me and suggested we go to the newest location in Oak Grove. We were really excited to go back, but I was very sceptical that they would have a flavor I like. Now I have about 7 flavors that I would classify as favorites, though it always seemed that they were never there when I was. Tonight however, was so great, the store was open and had three of my favorites - Key Lime Piescream, Chocolate Peanut Butter (chocolate with peanut butter and Reese's cups) and Strawberry Fields Forever. I was able to get two and Jamie got two others so we did get to have all three of the favorites. They were just as good as I remembered (though the prices have increased in the last few years sadly). I am glad to have reconnected with Jake's and hope that we can have some sort of relationship in the years to come. If only they would stop closing their locations, it would be much easier!

I feel the distress. Idiots- can't they keep the store in service?!? What's one to do? Get inadequate ice cream fixed?!? N-O!!!
