Happy New Year! I can't believe it is already 2010, I will be 30 this year and that is kind of surreal. It is time for my annual post of what books I read this year, mostly for posterity's sake, but also because I think it is fun to remember and keep track of them. My goal last year was to try to read more and I'm excited to say that happened this year! Here is how I've done the last three years:
2007: 9 books
2008: 15 books
2009: 24 books
This was a fun year of reading. Jamie and I finished the Harry Potter series (my second time) and loved them again. We read Dave Ramsey after listening to him on the radio and have been working through his plan and are saving up for a down payment to hopefully have a house of our own sometime soon. I read a book about Savannah after we went their for our anniversary and then read a book about the Chicago World's Fair before we headed up there in October. I finally read and enjoyed C.S. Lewis' Space Trilogy. Jamie and I joined up with some friends from our old church for a book club and have read 3 books so far, I'm halfway through the 4th one so it didn't make the list yet. And lastly I read a book that one of my best friends helped write/edit/publish on one of the largest slums in Africa.
Overall I would say it has been a great year of reading and I'm already looking forward to 2010. I got a few new ones for Christmas that I'm anxious to dive into! I'm always looking for fun things to read, any suggestions that I've not gotten to in the last few years?

Look at you! My totals run in the opposite direction.
This is Lauren snooping on Chuck's comp.- Did you like the Help? I am about to read it next. Wish I read as much as you. I think this year I read about 5 books maybe. Maybe more. Take care and say hello to Jamie.
