Things I've Pondered Today

I thought I'd post some things that I've been thinking about today:
  • I am both excited and sad that the season finale of LOST is on Sunday. I think it is going to be a really fun ending! We are going to be travelling that day so we are going to watch it Monday night instead.
  • The next Pixar movie, Toy Story 3, is coming out soon (June 18th)! It has been fun to see promos on TV this week. I know it is going to be great and can't wait to see it!
  • What is up with the new Delta credit card commercials on the radio? Now if you have their card, you can get your first checked bag free. "You could save $200 for a family of four on a round trip." Wow, $200 just for your luggage to travel with you? Ridiculous! What is the enormous cost of the actual ticket for? Couldn't you ship them cheaper than that? And are we forgetting that just a few years ago, it didn't cost anything for your bags to make it with you to your destination in the underbelly of the plane?
  • I'm excited to see some of my college roommates and their families this weekend, it has been much too long.
  • Chick-fil-A's spicy chicken sandwich is coming out on June 7th. I'm not even sure why I'm so excited about this, I don't even like spicy things that much. Either way, I'm looking forward to trying it out.
  • So is our President actually ever at the White House? I feel like he is still campaigning for something. Every night on the news he has been somewhere else speaking about who knows what. That's all, it is just irritating. I don't remember any previous presidents during my lifetime doing that.
  • I'm looking forward to Memorial Day Weekend and getting to celebrate my cousin Amy's high school graduation. Almost the whole family will be there, I love getting together with everyone!
  • I ordered some new checks this week since we changed addresses a few months ago and for some reason have been writing a lot of checks recently. Turns out they are now in English and Spanish. All the lines are now translated (Date; Pay to the Order of; Dollars; and For). I don't know why that is annoying, I think it is because those aren't difficult words to learn in English and several of them even look the same.
  • I got a new game for my birthday, Wits and Wagers and I'm pretty excited about it. We've only played once but it is a trivia game where you don't actually have to know the answers because you make bets based on everyone else's answers. That's my kind of trivia!
That is all I've got for now. It is time to clean up the place and frost the three layer chocolate cake that I baked tonight, since we are hosting our community group tomorrow.
