We are having a girl!

We had another appointment this week and we were able to find out that Baby Smith is a girl! I do not think we could be more excited. We asked the person doing the ultrasound to not tell us, but rather to write it down on a card we'd brought so that we could find out together, at home rather than at the doctor's office.

It was so fun to open it and then get excited about all the things that come along with having a girl!

Jamie is 17 weeks along now and almost halfway there. This latest ultrasound was really neat as we were able to see the spine more clearly, all of her fingers, we saw all four cavities of her heart and watched it move, as well as looking from the top of her head down to be able to see her brain forming. It is so awesome to be able to have this window into our baby's life so many months before we are able to actually meet her. I've included one of the sonograms from yesterday of her profile. We love her so much already and cannot wait to meet her in October.
